They're okay.
One tap says so.
Ondira is a quiet check-in app. Set a rhythm, tap once to confirm you're okay, and trusted contacts are automatically notified only if a check-in is missed.
No credit card. No movement profile. No ads. iOS & Android.
You care — without wanting to control.
You wonder if Mum got home safely. Whether your friend who lives alone is okay today. You don't want to call every morning — it feels intrusive. But silence feels worse. WhatsApp ticks go unread. Missed calls create more worry. You just need to know they're fine.
I don't want to be a burden — but I also don't want people to worry about me.
A calm routine. Only active when it needs to be.
Set it up once. The app escalates only when there's truly no sign of life.
-
Choose your rhythm
Daily, every two days, weekly — you decide the check-in window and when you'd like a reminder.
-
Check in with one tap
Open the app, tap once. Everyone knows: all good.
-
Missed it? You'll be reminded.
When your window closes without a check-in, you receive a reminder via push notification and email first.
-
Still no sign? Contacts are notified.
If there's still no response, your trusted contacts receive a quiet notification — only when there's truly no sign of life.
Why not just use...
Most tools you already know need both sides to be actively involved. WhatsApp waits for a reply. A call interrupts. Location apps require ongoing consent. Ondira works differently: set it up once, and it steps back — only speaking up when there's truly no sign of life.

Frequently asked questions
Is Ondira an emergency service?
No. Ondira is not an emergency, rescue, medical, or monitoring service. In a real emergency, please contact the appropriate emergency services.
What happens if I miss a check-in?
Your trusted contacts receive a calm email notification. Not an alarm — just a heads-up that no check-in arrived within your chosen window. You define the window; they decide how to respond.
Can I leave personal messages for my loved ones?
Yes. As an optional feature, you can write messages to be sent if all escalation stages pass without a sign of life. This feature is entirely optional and independent of your daily check-in routine.
Do you track my location?
No continuous tracking. Optionally, you can share your last known location with contacts at check-in time — no movement profile, no background tracking.
Who gets notified, and when?
Only the contacts you add in the app. They're notified by email if a check-in doesn't arrive within the window you define. They are never notified for any other reason.
Can trusted contacts opt out or be changed?
Yes. You can add, remove, or change your trusted contacts in the app at any time.
Is the beta free?
Yes, the beta is fully free. No credit card required.
Will I be charged later?
Pricing will be communicated clearly before the app leaves beta. You won't be surprised.
Which platforms will be supported?
iOS and Android. Both platforms are supported.
What data do you store?
Account data (name, email), check-in history (kept for 14 days), your rule settings, and contact details you provide. Optionally: your last known location at check-in time, if you enable that feature. No health data, no movement profile, no advertising identifiers.
Who is Ondira for?
Anyone who wants a simple, low-pressure way to stay in touch — families with older relatives, people living alone, travellers, and friends who care about each other.
